[edit] MECHANISM OF ACTION

It is an antiseptic pomade which contains 10% ichthammol. Ichthammol is a mixture of a substance acquired from the bituminous schist minerals or layers, sulphonic acids, ammonium salts, ammonium sulphate and water.

[edit] INDICATIONS

In dermatology, it is applied for the treatment of chronic inflammations as a local antiseptic and because of its irritant aspect and by other antiseptics it helps for the treatment of chronic skin disorders (for example: eczema, psoriasis and acne).

[edit] DOSAGE

After washing the application area thoroughly, the pomade is applied to the scar two times a day and is covered by a gauze bandage. (In order not to obstruct the air circulation, do not cover tightly).

[edit] CONTRAINDICATIONS

It must not be used for individuals who has an hypersensitivity to one of the substances within the product.

[edit] PRECAUTIONS

  • It must not contact with eyes and mucosa.
  • Hands must be washed thoroughly after application.

[edit] SIDE EFFECTS

  • If the medication is not effective within 10 days, consult your doctor.
  • Do not apply the pomade to wide areas without prior proposal of the doctor.
