First-generation antihistamine of the propylamine (alkylamine) class.

[edit] INDICATIONS

It is indicated for the treatment of the symptoms of the common cold and allergic rhinitis, such as runny nose, itchy eyes, watery eyes, and sneezing.

[edit] DOSAGE

  • Patients 6-12 years of age: 2 mg every 4-6 hr; maximum dose 12 mg/24 hr
  • Patients > 12 years of age: 4 mg every 4-6 hr; maximum dose i24 mg/24 hr
