[edit] MECHANISM OF ACTION

Fusafungine is an antibiotic with anti-inflammatory properties.

[edit] INDICATIONS

Local treatment of nasal and throat infection: sinusitis, rhinitis, nasopharyngitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, tracheitis.

[edit] DOSAGE

Local sprays: Acute-phase: 2 sprays into the mouth and / or 2 sprays into each nostril every 4 hours for 4 days. Maintenance: 1 spray into the mouth and / or 1 puff in each nostril every 4 hours. Usually treatment should not exceed 10 days.

[edit] CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to Fusafungine or to any of the excipients

  • Children under the age of 30 months

  • Prolonged or repeated use may result in superinfection

[edit] INTERACTIONS

No known interactions

[edit] PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

Caution should be exercised when Fusafungine is administered during pregnancy

[edit] SIDE EFFECTS

The most commonly reported side effects are: sneezing, dysgeusia, conjunctival congestion, dry nose, dry throat, throat irritation, cough and nausea.

Allergic reactions may occur very rarely, especially in patients with a predisposition to allergies.
